Through numerous crime movies where people chase money and Disney comics featuring Scrooge McDuck and his money bin, one might easily get the impression that it's important to accumulate (as much) money as possible in life. However, it's questionable whether accumulating money should be a goal in itself.
Human Design provides insight into how you can earn money in various ways. This article explains this through different perspectives from Human Design: your energy type, profile, talents (gates and channels), and incarnation cross (the combined effect of the 4 most important gates in your Human Design).
Your Energy Type
(Manifesting) Generators (about 70% of the population) are here to work, specifically doing work they love. They are true doers. You make the right choices for study and work based on your applicable strategy and authority (see also the articles explaining Human Design). As a Generator, when you do the right work for you, you experience deep satisfaction. If you're not (or no longer) doing the right work for you, you experience frustration (Generator) and/or anger (Manifesting Generator). The latter will certainly be noticed by your environment, as you'll radiate this negative energy as a 'Sacral Being' to your surroundings. You might even receive feedback about this from your environment. A (Manifesting) Generator is designed to do what they love, what they prefer to do, and use the energy available to them until they're tired at the end of the day. (Manifesting) Generators don't work for money in principle, but find fulfillment (satisfaction) by doing the RIGHT work FOR THEM.
As a Projector, your role is focused on guiding and managing others: (Manifesting) Generators. You don't have a defined Sacral Center and thus no consistent access to life energy. A Projector can sense other people well (they reflect and amplify the Sacral Center energy of (Manifesting) Generators in their environment, for example!) and thereby help provide direction. Projectors are the managers and leaders of this time, and if they live out their role well (based on the right choices from strategy and authority), they can become (very) successful, while a feeling/emotion of bitterness is the signal that the Projector is out of balance.
A Manifestor has the ability to initiate and establish things by themselves (they do not need to respond). A Manifestor also doesn't have a defined Sacral Center, and the completion of what the Manifestor sets up will be done by (Manifesting) Generators. A Manifestor in balance experiences peace, while a Manifestor out of balance experiences anger. A Manifestor is thus not designed to work continuously like the (Manifesting) Generators.
Your Profile
The Human Design Profile as shown in the Bodygraph is like 'the costume' you were born with and provides insight into your natural behavior / role you can play. You naturally do these activities, and it offers indications for the nature of work / activities you enjoy doing.
See the post 'Explanation of Human Design Basic Principles' for an explanation of the 12 different profiles. For example, I have the 1/3 Profile (Investigator/Martyr). Activities that fit this are reading/studying, writing, and teaching. I have therefore enjoyed various studies and always found writing the thesis the most enjoyable part. I was also involved in teaching at various colleges and developing training materials. In my work, I have often done such activities, for example by conducting research, writing project proposals and advisory reports. Furthermore, I have taken many courses and studies in personal development, such as RET (Rational Emotive Therapy), NLP, Yoga & Ayurveda, Reiki, Maya Calendars, and Human Design. Based on experimenting (the 3 in the 1/3 profile) and the experience gained, I know that Human Design is the ultimate tool for personal development in the workplace (and beyond!) at this moment. Line 3 is furthermore (from the 6 lines that make up a Profile) the material line par excellence, and people with a 3 in their Profile thus have a natural focus on and talent for the material (and thus money).
Your Talents
You can find your talents in the Bodygraph: they are the numbers (activated gates or portals on the left side (Design-unconscious) and right side (Personality-conscious), totaling 26 (out of the total 64 possible gates). There are 64 gates (numbered 1 to 64) and behind each gate is a number from 1 to 6 (one of the Profile lines, see separate explanation about this) which forms a further detailing of the quality of this particular gate in your Human Design. All gates ending in .3 have a material quality. Gates can be connected to each other and form a channel, which in turn represents a quality or talent present in you. Soon, a separate post will follow with detailed explanations of the 64 gates and the 36 possible channels.
Incarnation Cross
Your Incarnation Cross provides insight into the combined operation of the 4 most important energies from the Bodygraph. There are 192 in total (generic description) and these will be explained in a separate post later. This gives an indication in broad lines of the essence of your most important archetypal energies.
Conclusion
Living (and working) in harmony with your own nature is the most important thing. This means doing what is natural for you as an energy type and doing work that you truly love . If you follow your strategy and authority, make the right choices, and do the work you do with love, the money will eventually come naturally.
